Long Journeys and Birthday Candles

We got back from California at 7am on Thursday morning, we went down to Bakersfield to attend Grandma Jonita's funeral. I feel so grateful we were able to get down there, its been a tough week for all the Morris family we truly lost one of the sweetest, kindest and loving women I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. The service was beautiful and so many of her family, friends and church congregation came out to show their love for her.

We are now home and trying to get back to our routine with the boys who are still cranky and tired. Today is Sam's Birthday so we went to breakfast at Sheri's this morning and then we all took a long nap. We went to Mexican food for dinner with Sam's sister Shannon, then we got some brownies and had a little birthday party for him. 

Ethan is such a sweet little boy, in the midst of eating his brownie he got up and ran into the office and decided he need to make Daddy a present. I took pictures to document to occasion. Enjoy!
