Goodwill and Juju Hats

I decided I NEED a Cameroon Juju hat for my living room, like I really need it. You may be thinking "Why not buy one then?" My answer is apparently they are almost $400..OUCH! I am now pondering a way to make one without it turning out as a crappy circular boa. These are so amazing!

I have been pondering what decor to use for Luke's 1st Birthday Party next Sunday and I decided to color scheme it the same as his nursery because its his first party, also I love the colors. So we are doing green, orange, blue and yellow...MY FAVS! I went to Goodwill today to see if I could find suitable jars for what I have planned. I ended up with some glassware that I am going to use as a pseudo terrarium for some succulents on my kitchen table. I am going to use them in Luke's Birthday decor spread but they will be sticking around after as well. I also got some super cute little glass planters and some candy jars. My very favorite purchase was a silver vintage style serving platter, it is tarnished in the neatest pattern so  I am not going to polish it up. I love Goodwill for home decor, I always find the most awesome treasures to diy the heck out of. Here are some pictures of my $9 loot. I still need some potting soil for the larger one. I can't wait to start on the crafting for his party, lots to do in a week.
